The Farewell Walk

After winning the Title as Mr. Nursing 2009, I also became the first ever Mr. Fatima Antipolo (2009).

it's a LEGACY. (The farewell Walk)

"Sometimes, not all unexpected things bring disappointments and regrets to your life. because may be at some point, it can affect your life positively that will make your life happy and contented.."
Our Lady of Fatima University built another campus in antipolo last year. And as a trend of this institution, we have a pageant like this. Mr. and Ms. Fatima.
A wholesome, inactive and shy type guy like me doesn't have any interest on this kind of event. That's why it never crossed on my mind that i will be the one who stands right here before you.. I never expected that i'll be the first ever Mr. Fatima Antipolo.
How would i ever forget the first time when i walked to the stage as a candidate. The first time when almost everyone of you saw me. That night, I'm not only nervous abut also worried. i've been debating decision wondering if the moves i made we're right. but then, all my doubts we're replaced by happiness when the emcee announced my name as the winner.
This event does have a big change in my life. The typical inactive boy turns to a progressive person and the shy type boy became a cheerful one. For that, it feels like a rennaissance. A rebirth. Now, I always carry these positive traits in my sleeves all the time.
This great achievement would not be possible without the help of the people behind me. To mam pam, mam mendoza. eon and maggie. As the organizers, advisers and leaders. Thank you for the support you have rendered for me and bianca. Thank you for nurturing all what we need for the pageant. To jericho, the funny and kind person who never disappear beside me and never fail to give all the necessary things that im going to use for the pageant. To my partner, including her parents who always support me whenever nervousness strikes me backstage. To my classmates, dashtri, joyce, riz, arjay, ate ai's group, maja and the true friends who give me their unconditional support. All of you guys are the reason of my courage to go on with this pageant. My self-esteem bolstered whenever I hear you shouting and clapping when i hit the floor. to my parents, who are really proud for having me as their son and of course, GOD. thank you very much for giving me this achievement where only few of us we're given an opportunity.
For the candidates, and for the next winners, i hope you'll hold the title with vigilance and continue what we have started. don't ever try to look this event as a COMPETITION. instead, look behind the stage. the experiences that you have encountered. Think that its a way of God for us to be more progressive and to pursue our dreams. It is not necessary that all your undertakings and ventures are recognized. As long as you know and God knows you did you part then nothing more to say, nothing more to prove..

Mr. FATIMA ANTIOLO'09 signing off.
Mabuhay and thankyou. :))

Back to where it all started for me

I can still remember it. During this time, I was a candidate for the first ever Mr. Nursing (2009) in Fatima Antipolo. It was January 2009 when my professor (mam lai) appoint me to join that pageant. This was first time. And I am totally new in this kind of event. Without any preparation, (honestly) my classmates push me through to continue joining the pageant. I still remember the two questions for me. The first one is all about Nursing and the Second one is all about in general..

1. In Nursing, we do Bed making. Right candidate no.5. For you, what is the purpose of mitering?

I quickly answer it.

"MITERING............. To secure the bedding's."

then all the audience clap their hands as if the winner was announced. When I go back to my position, my co-candidate asked me "tol nagreview ka ba? lupit mo aah." Then I told him"Huh? bakit ako magrereview?"
Actually, Prelims on that time was fresh in my mind. And I can still remember that it was included in our preliminary examination in NCM1oo (Fundamentals of Nursing) taught by my favorite prof, Mrs. Roman.

The second question goes like this.

2. For you, what is the essence of Nursing.

I got nervous that time because all of the audience was waiting for my answer and I can see to their faces that they are expecting a good answer coming from me.. Then I said.

" uhmm. Unang-una, hindi kayang magopera nang duktor kapag walang Nurse.. Pangalawa, In any kind of hospitals whether it is primary, secondary or tertiary, makikita mo ang nurse. Lastly, We all know that "Health is wealth." It's so nice to think na pinagkakatiwalaan tayo para ingatan ang tinuturing na kayamanan nang bawat isa."

I got no special awards on the pageant. But I got the title as the Mr. Nursing 2009. It was unexpected. Yet, I am so blessed and honor to be the on that position. :)

I experienced it already. But I can't remember!

What is the medical term for having déjà vu? (And what is the opposite sensation called?)

Déjà vu is that spooky feeling in which you feel like you have previously experienced something that is actually being encountered for the first time.

In French, the term literally means “already seen.” Déjà vu is often referred to as paramnesia, which is both “the illusion of remembering scenes and events when experienced for the first time” and also “a condition in which the proper meaning of words cannot be remembered.”

Have you ever stared at a word that you’ve seen thousands of times but that looks unfamiliar? This sensation is often described as the opposite of déjà vu. Jamais vu, is French for “never seen.” This psychology term is used to describe a familiar situation that the observer doesn’t recognize.

Déjà vu is also similar to a phenomenon called presque vu, or Tip of the Tongue. In French, the term means “almost seen.” It is a disorienting sensation of being on the brink of remembering something. When experiencing presque vu, people often say that they have something on the tip of their tongue.

maturity came out.

--------> When I was a child (5yrs old), the only problem that I'm facing is when I have no playmates to play cards(teks), or my playmates cheated me in our game. I got angry. Blaming all of them! I fight them fairly but after all, I always got cheated. As days goes by, a child became a boy. During my Elementary-High School days, I learn on how to fix myself. I learn the proper hygiene to be implemented in myself, more conscious on my physical appearance, and learn to go with the flow. That time, to be with my friends is usually the thing that I used to do. No worries with my academics, no worries with everything.

But when I stepped up in college, all these things we're changed. The higher the level, the challenges became more difficult. The usual boy before became a man. As I entered the world of adult, I became more conscious on my physical appearance. This was the time where I realized the importance of my family, my friends, my studies and God. This was also the time that where the cards I used to play before was turned to the game of love. Where i play fairly, yet and still,, I got cheated. But this time, my maturity came out. I do not blame them forhurting me. Instead, I thanked them for making me appreciate it all by looking at the brighter side of that particular problem. I might say that I am not that mature enough to face all the problems in my life, but I can say that I always do take the challenges and apply all my knowledge, implement those learning and try to solve all those obstacles with enough idea of the implications that may happen on my decisions. With the grace of God, all those problems are still worth having. :) ---------->

The perfect and sweetest LOVE! :)

Majority of us was so busy seeking for someone's attention and wishing so hard, doing so hard just for them to love us. We do this because we thought that they can love us back the way we wanted to. But have you ever ask to yourself what really love is? That the perfect and sweetest love might be just around you and waiting for you to embrace it so tightly?

I might say that I am in the period where love insights is commonly running in teenagers mind. I always do love someone who used to ignore me most of the time. It hurts. A lot actually. But I do not blame them for these things. Blaming is not an option. We are where we are cause we do brought ourselves there. We make the decisions, therefore, we are the only one liable of all our actions. Besides, I used to believe in the concept "If it hurts a lot, then It only means that you truly love someone even more."

Every Sunday, I usually go to our church. But I have these special Sunday where the Homily is all about loving someone. That very moment, I was in pain. I listened carefully. The father said "Have you ever truly understand what love is? God is love. We love because He first LOVED us". BOOOOOOOOOM! Then it totally freeze me. Feeling of guiltiness why I so love someone making me to forget God's love sometimes. That time, I prayed. I confessed all my mistakes. Mistakes where I ignored God. Ignored His love.

I became thankful for what I've realized. I do really appreciate Him. God is so great making all things possible for only one reason. Because He loves us! And in-return, we must also love Him. Praise Him and Glorify Him. Now that I've found out that God's love is the perfect and sweetest thing in this world, I've realized my inner-worth . My purpose in this world. And that is to appreciate all simple things coming from Him and not to be so focused for asking what we do not have. Time will come. Just learn to wait. All the waits are worth having only if you learn on How to believe in Him. :)

You guys?! Have you found THE PERFECT AND SWEETEST LOVE in this world? Well. Don't be too insensitive. He's always there. =)
